I'm new to this sub but I had to write this somewhere. We have an orange tabby who is 8-9 years old, never been sick a day in her life. Around 1:30 this morning I was woken up by her screaming (I thought it was my kid it was so loud and human like), I found her crouched in a tiny space behind the couch. Once I got her to come out she was just crying loudly and dry heaving and gagging. My husband then woke up and we just sat with her as she cried. She threw up a few times and it seemed to be very difficult for her (mostly clear liquid and a little bit of food).
I've never seen her like this before, I am very scared. At the emergency room right now.. her temperature is at 93 and should be 99.9 so they're warming her right now. And of course they want to do x-rays and it's going to cost an arm and a leg of course. I'm going to do it because she's my baby, but I also have a real human baby who has medical needs as well (been fighting ear infections for months with no medication working), and I'm just stressed and scared and needed to vent all my worries to strangers online.
So, thank you kind strangers. Any advice is more than welcome.
