I adopted a 2 year old female cat from the shelter about 2 weeks ago. She has an annoying habit of pooping only after I start scooping her litter. I've tried shifting around when I scoop the litter (pine pellets, so sometimes I sift out the dust), but once I start rummaging she comes over and insists on going. Any idea why she does this and if it's possible to break her of the habit? On the first few times I tried not moving out of her way she just squeezed herself in there and tried to pee, missing the box by a bit, so I'd prefer not to ignore her warning chirp.
