I have a full length mirror that I have put strip sticker lights on it to DIY make it a makeup mirror. Whenever I am in my room (most often when I am in bed), my cat will go up to it and try and rip the lights off the mirror. I cannot figure out how to get her to stop, and I’m worried I’m just going to have to take the lights off all together. I have tried squirting her when she’s near them, scolding her, putting lemon juice on them, and finally I’ve been leaning pillows against the bottom of the mirror while I sleep but she’s just started to knock the pillows down to get to them.
I think she does it as part of a “game” to get me to wake up and for the attention because she will ONLY do it when I am in the room and it’s almost always when I’m sleeping. Is there any way I can save my lights and train her not to do this or is it a lost cause?
