(I’m not sure if this is the right place to ask so I’m sorry.. ) I know this question sounds childish, but here’s the situation: I’ve been wanting a cat officially since last year, I think now is the perfect time to adopt and welcome one home, my dad says my dog would hate it, he is slightly allergic, I already have a snake and fish so I don’t “~need~” anymore, I’ve been feeling really lonely (diagnosed with depression & anxiety if that matters) and want a cat for therapeutic purposes, cats just hit different, my dog doesn’t care for me- he’s a family dog, and my current pets are really the highlight of my day. I know it might sound bad, but what I typed is what I really think. I’m not gonna bs on reddit lol. I’m 17 living with my parents btw. I feel like there’s no better feeling than when you’re with YOUR pets. All the hard work is completely worth it for me. I’m 100% dedicated to keeping this kitten I found locally and I plan on (unless I die ??) caring for this kitten for the rest of its life giving it the best life possible. I’ve planned out everything and how I would introduce the kitten to my dog and everything. I reread this and it sounds stupid and creepy so please don’t come for me I’m just really passionate about this. My mom thinks it’s a great idea. How do I convince him??
