Got three Yorkshire terriers. One's a jealous one owned by my sister, and we had a lot of issues with her and another dog. Long story short, we moved out, me and my sister, and left the other dog at my parents' house. Okay. Swell. Problem solved. Now, she's picking fights with my dog, the oldest of the lot. We're at a point in our lives where I can focus more on my dogs, so while mine was once shy, she's getting a lot of spunk in her old age.
Long story short, I put my dog on my lap, I reprimand my sister's dog cuz she be posturing. I think okay. That's fine. My sister's dog's learned that we don't appreciate her picking fights with mine.
Down jumps my dog and fucking pounces on sister's dog. We separate them, but now I'm sitting with a problem. They're jealous of each other and they posture nonstop. They view themselves in direct competition. I'm just asking for advice on how to fix it. As far as I understand I just need to put in the impression that both are allowed to exist in the same space, and that they don't need to fight, right? Don't give the impression that I'm actively "bullying" the other dog, or else she feel she has to defend me.
Just.... I don't think they want to kill each other, but whoever's going to lose this dominance play won't look pretty in the end. I don't want that
