I know Advantage is probably the one that will be most recommended but my cat seems to have an absolutely terrible time with it (trying and succeeding to reach where I've put it at the base of her skull). She can't be distracted from trying to get to it and if not turning her head almost 180 degrees, she'll use her hind legs to scratch at it AND THEN try to lick her paws. She also yelped as I applied it.
I don't mind if the cost is higher or if I will have to apply more than one preventive treatment, but what can y'all recommend? Is there any regimen that any of you follow (because I believe some treatments shouldn't be given within a certain timeframe of others)?
I'd specifically like ORAL medications for fleas, mites, worms, etc. if possible (and of good quality)? I'd prefer that rather than applicating the medication externally. At least if it's oral, it's actually intended to be ingested
