Boston Terrier and a Kitten... Will they get along?

I have a 1 year old boston terrier. We're getting a 3 month old ragdoll kitten. The dog is extremely friendly, absolutely no aggression, but she does not listen to commands when she gets excited/fixated. Have been working on training for 8 months, since I first got her, but there is absolutely nothing I can do to get her to calm down and listen to me when she is in that mode.

I am worried about how things will go with the kitten... Like I said, the dog is very friendly and playful. But she does not know when to stop. If the kitten doesn't like her, I don't think the dog will ever stop trying to play. The dog has met cats before, and the hissing/warning signs do not affect her. She never stops trying to play. She has yet to be clawed by one, but she plays with pitbulls and gets very scraped up. She even yelps and cries then continues to play. So I don't know how affective the cats claws will be at getting her to stop.

Any advice? Should we even still get the kitten?
