About 5 years ago, when my moms dog was 3, I was sleeping on the couch, when I heard my moms dog peeing on the floor. I know this was wrong, but I grew up around it, and thought it was the right thing to do. I quickly went over to slap him on the butt. Not hard, because I didn't want to hurt him, but just let him know he was doing wrong. Ever since then. On occasion when I grab him on the butt, while playing, he will yelp. I'm not sure if I hirt him all those years ago, or if his glands are just full, because they have to be emptied often. My mom took her dog to the vet a few months ago. She said the vet wiggled his front paw, and said that he has a little arthritis. I know that's no where near were I slaped him, but do you think the vet would have checked for arthritis in his is hils too, if she were checking his paws? If I were to cause anything, then I think it would have to do with his hips. I know what I did is disgusting, so please try to answer my question without belittling me.
