Cat no long doing her blep

Hi All! I have a quick question that is purely out of curiosity. We recently adopted a 3 year cat from our local animal shelter. She is lovely and is the queen of our household. When we first adopted her, her tongue stuck out most of the time and they told us at the shelter this had been a normal behavior of hers while being with them and that we could expect her to continue doing it. She also drooled every now and then. Not sure if this is relevant but she did have some dental work done there and she was also spayed. Well... after about a week at our house her blep went away and we hardly ever see it. She is still as cute as ever and in good health (as told to us by our vet) but I was curious if anyone knows why this might happen? Could cats perhaps hang their tongues out when living in stressful situations like a shelter? Just curious and thank you for any input.
