She refuses to use any posts (horizontal and vertical) and prefers to claw at the carpet. My bf is allergic to cats so my room is ALWAYS closed, so when I sleep, she just claws the shit out of the carpet by my door and I even had to put a rug half under my door so she wouldn't keep ruining the main carpet. I've used sprays, tapes and just about anything I can find and she keeps doing it! Makes it impossible for me to sleep at night so I'm at my wits end and am at the point of wanting to give her to a friend just so I can have peace again. I do have a 2nd cat, so she's seen proper scratching behavior... she's just a dick.
