My cat has been keeping me up at night meowing and showing intentions to spray (hasn’t ever sprayed and just shakes his tail as if he is going to spray). Along with other anxious behaviors, this has been going on for a year and has intensified over the last month, so I..virtually.. met with a behaviorist and she is suggesting I put him on Fluoxetine. Taking him to the vet on Wednesday to get him started.
So I’m looking for some advise of what form of medication I should give him. He’s become a very picky eater and is not food motivated, so I’m worried I won’t be able to get him going on this medication without terrifying him.
How have you administered the medication? Any info on your experiences with this medication would be much appreciated! Thanks!!
