Me and my bf and getting a puppy tomorrow. We have two cats at the moment, one of which we adopted together. We are so excited. He’s been wanting a dog for 3 years now. I just graduated with my masters and being in quarantine now seems like the perfect time. We always said when our eldest cat passed we would get a dog and that happened two weeks ago.
My main concern is that the dog will ruin my relationship with my two cats. One is already a scaredy cat but has really opened up to me in our last two years together (I’ve had her 7, she was about 7 when I adopted her).
Looking for advise on how to still show my baby girl she is special, how to introduce the cats to the dog. Looking for validation/ shared experience of feelings of cold feet before adopting?
