[Help] My cat disappeared and I need advice!

2 days ago I went to my friends house (he lives ~50 meters away) to watch a movie. I didn’t want to leave my cat alone so I took him with me. While watching the movie at my friends apartment, he opened up the window and the next thing you know the cat is missing. We searched his whole apartment but couldn’t find him.

We went outside searching for him but couldn’t find a single trace of him. At 03.00 we decided to go back and I would later on continue the search in the morning. Since I also live in an apartment I know it is hard for him to get it. From 07.00 til 11.00 I searched the whole neighbourhood but to no success. I took the buss to the local library and printed pictures of him with a text that he’s missing + my phone number. I made an e-application to the police to register him as missing and right after that, I taped his picture throughout the neighbourhood. Every 1.5 hours I take a tour and call for him, and look extra closely where I live and where he went missing at my friends place. I’ve put food outside in case if he would be starving and I put a rug on the door to my apartment so that the door stays open durning the day. I’ve searched for him regularly until 01.00.

My cat used to live with my parents (they live 1H away with car) and I took him to my place at the start of the pandemic. At my parents house we could let him outside durning summer and he would always come back within 12H (At most he has been gone 24H). When I took him to my place I went out with him (on a leash) to a nearby forest that’s a 10 minute walk from where I live (and yes, I’ve searched for him there a couple of times too). Now at the begging of the second day I fear that he might starve to death, what more can I do???

(Sidenote: he’s not castrated so he might look for a parter and he didn’t have a collar on when he went missing)
