How much do you Anthropomorphize?

Hai there pet lovers ! Sorry for the spelling I am dyslexic and not a native english speaker but with that out of the way, I just had I shower thought that I think best belongs here. But how much so YOU think you OVER Anthropomorphize?, I think is my specific question?,

If you have more time, this is my thought process !

I ask this because I grew up with a lot of animals,at the same time Upto 4 dogs with 2 cats, and then stables with sheep and horses, And so when I hear people say very confidently that "animals are animals and every cat is the same as the next and same goes for dog, horses sheep etc etc", I am very adamant about explaining to them that this might only be theyr own experience because they have those, pre-determent views on animals to begin with, and generally if I start to inquire more about them or get to know those people I suspect that this attitude probably comes from a specific incident in theyr childhood. For example a close friend of mine told me once when drunk that when he was young, he and his father "had"to out down a litter of puppies, because of all shittiest reasons like no one could care for them and bla bla,

But because I again asked him about this way later in our friendship (we had been drinking and gotten emo and were sharing stories and I asked about this again) he admitted that this was ( fucking obviously ) traumatizing to experience as a child especially,

While I dont get the chance to get to know everyone like I do this close friend but I somehow have the suspicion that those 2 things are not un-related And people who dont . . . .register animal personalities have for one reason or another closed that off,

So following that logic I wonder how many times I have read into a behaviour of one of my pets( have had many but now me and my wife have 3 cats and a dog) have showed and I have read way to much into it,

I ask because surely us pet lovers must sometimes see a behaviour in our pets and misunderstand it as a personality trait of our companions?

It is difficult for me to think of an example because I cant properly be completely unbiased, but what make me start thinking this to begin with was that I swear I know which meow our smallest cat makes when she wants to be picked up, I know when our biggest cat wants to me to open door for him, I am pretty sure that our medium cat and our dog have a special language or at least an understanding that only they have, so the dog is the most comfortable with her,and will let her sit on his noise and not mind while if the other cats come to close his face he turns away like "nahh you did not sign the covinent so you are dangerous" Even tho they aren't, It's just like they have a wavelength that mixes properly, so they can chill next to each other one the bed,cat intop of dog between me and my wife, but only the middle cat, And she is the loner out of the cat trio, the smallest and the largest cat have a friendship, that is sometimes tested(big fat bastard tries to steal the food from the smallest cat!!) So they sometimes hiss at each other, but middle cat and dog are always chill, even when the dog gets excited and start being to much for 99%of cats, she the middle one is somehow fine with it........when she wants it. It has to be her choice,

Yea anyway I am rambling, i just had a conversation with my wife about this topic and i wanted to hear what other pet lovers think ?, If anyone has a less "traditional"(whatever that means) pet like lizard, snake or a bird I'd love to hear how you think theyr personalities are different from four legged furred friends if anyone has some insight if it's even different at all!?.

Thank you, sorry for the word vomit ! :p

I just had this random thought when petting one of our cats,
