I'm visiting my home town for a month and found my cousin has 2 dogs caged up in a tiny ass 10x10 fenced enclosure and they act happy to see you but they keep their distance as though there's a small body of water between you and them. If you move toward them real suddenly they panic and bow their bodies down. If you get them excited and beckon them they'll muster up the courage to come to you and then excitedly eat up your affection, but sudden hand movements from above their heads makes them panic and back off.
They're not my dogs, and I'm frankly disgusted, and I'm not sure if I should make an anonymous call about them...but I don't wanna send them to the dog furnace as I hear that's where most dogs end up if they're not claimed quickly at a shelter. I wish I could take them myself but I can't.
So what I'm thinking is buying and installing a 75ft dog trolley between 2 trees I measured 70ft apart and installing a 2nd pulley on it for them so they can run about and live a more healthy life at the very least. What would you do? I'm straight up using my birthday money for this stuff because he claims to not be able to afford it currently. I just can't stand to see them living like that.
