We have 3 pets - a dog, and two cats. We've had our dog and first cat, Anna, for 5 years. Around two years ago we adopted a second kitten named Richard.
Richard always harasses Anna. He will never actually hurt her, but he's always following her around, jumping on her, biting her (gently), swatting at her, etc. She takes no part in it and usually tries to run away - Richard will follow and sometimes even jump on her, pinning her onto the ground. Again - he never hurts her. He's either trying to play or assert dominance. Either way, Anna wants nothing to do with it. She often ends up hissing, or running to hide in our lap.
Richard also is overly hyper. Will literally sprint through the house, jump 6 feet high against the door, and then jump off. The noise of the door vibrating violently against the frame usually wakes us up at 3am.
He's an incredible cat and loves everyone. When he's sleepy and not harassing Anna thinks are great. But I can't help but feel that he makes her quite unhappy. Is this normal cat stuff, or cause to re-home?
