Hello, today has been a rough one. My little Pacman frog seemed completely fine this morning, a little more energetic than usual, but nothing concerning, just some movement and pressing up again the terrarium glass with his hands. A few hours later I walked by his tank and saw that he was opening his mouth and facing some moss, so I figured he might be hungry. I got my tongs and was about to feed him when it seemed like completely suddenly he just stopped moving with his mouth open slightly. The food lodged between his lips, but there was no movement at all, so I eventually removed it.
I freaked out and moved him to soak him in some warmed chlorine free water. I kept him like that for hours and did everything I could to increase the humidity in his tank, but he seems lifeless. He looks completely healthy though, and at some point when he was in the water his mouth closed. I also thought I felt a single jump when I put him in the water, but I am not sure. Is there ANY chance he’s still alive? Is there a sure fire way I can tell? Please help! :(
Edited for more info: I got him in February from petco as a baby. He was originally really hesitant to eat and was constantly burrowed, but recently he’s been coming out a lot more and eats easily! He also has started having a lot of bowel movements recently, whereas I had never seen one from him before, so I really thought he was in much better shape than he was when I got him. No idea why this happened :(
