My dogs has separation anxiety, she is 65 pounds and has been on 30mg of fluoxetine for 3 months, we are going to the vet Tuesday for a check up and to increase her meds to 40 mg. She suffers from general anxiety too, and loud noises such as thunder loud wind and loud rain. We have a big fenced in yard, the shelter had no history of home life so it’s safe to assume she’s never had a backyard. So we walk her all the time which is great but sometimes I’d like to just let her in the yard to go potty, at night and in the morning she would go out and pee but we really regressed from quarentine I guess, I had to put her on a leash and now she won’t even go on the leash. She will only poop in the yard if she REALLY has to go. Could her anxiety be some reason why she won’t always go in the yard? Or does she truly just not understand? Due to being in quarentine we csnt do training, but once it’s lifted we will be doing training. Just wanted to see if I could get some advice. Thanks !
