4 year old neutered male cat. His name is Zappa, as in Frank Zappa. He’s an amazing cat and loves people.
Recently, Zappa has been sitting on a white bag (not the purse) in the corner of our living room. He’d paw the ground after sitting on this bag. So I guess he thought it was his territory?
Anyway, this morning, Zappa took a piss in my mom’s purse that was sitting in the general area of the aforementioned white bag. We then discovered the white bag had a piss stain on it.
My question is: Is the cat marking his territory? And why would he be doing it after he’s lived here for 3.5 years? Is he okay?
I’m writing this as I’ve emptied out her purse, sorted through what’s unaffected and what’s piss-soaked, and got the bag properly laundered. Happy Mother’s Day.
