We recently got a new black kitten from a family friend of ours, and it's very troublesome to me.
I love cats, but this is ridiculous.
At first, she was pretty laid back. Kind of annoying but you could deal with it. Over the past two or so months, some things started changing.
• When we first got her, we noticed she had been sucking on our clothing. I believe this was because she was pulled away from her mother too quick.
• At only 4 + 1/2 months old, she's gone into heat.
• She likes to chase our male cat (quite a bit older than her) around the house, which is quite annoying because at 2-3am or so they'll be fighting/overall just being very loud.
• During late hours of the night (1-7am) she becomes very, very rowdy. Running around the house non-stop, jumping on our beds (mid-sleep is awful), and meowing lots.
Like I said, I love cats, but it's very difficult to live with these conditions. We've yet to get her neutered so her going into heat is alright for now, but her running/fighting during late hours every night is becoming quite irritating.
Is there a way to make her stop being so hyper at night?
