I need to get my dog some arthritis medicine, I don’t want to buy it at an elevated price from the vet so I was going to order it from PetCo or Chewy.com or something but they say I need to go through prescription verification. The vet suggested buying these medications for her and I called him to ask about brands but he has never written an official prescription for her. ( i think it’s kind of annoying I have to ask him every question in order to get all the info if you know what I mean). I don’t know what dose to get her yet because I didn’t realize there were different options but if I order the medication online is it enough to provide them the vet info so they can verify? Or will I actually have to go to him to get him to write an actual prescription even though he’s aware I’m trying to get this medicine?
