I have a special needs cat, whose quirks include not using a litter box on her own accord, ever. She’ll use it when I catch her in time and plonk her in, but otherwise it’s just another piece of furniture to her. We’ve been to lots of vets, ran lots of tests, tried lots of things - and this is just how she is. What this means, is that I am cleaning constantly. If I go out, when I come home I’ll have some cleanups.
This is how our life has been together since I got her 11 years ago. And I think I’m starting to burn out, especially as her quirks increase as she ages.
Does anyone have recommendations on a subreddit for special needs pet caregivers, where people can vent and rant and get support for the challenges that our little loves give us?
