Looking for experience with electronic dog doors that allow dogs out but *reliably* keep cats in. Last two summers we had a magnetic screen that the dogs could get out and potty themselves. Over this winter we got a new cat who cannot go outside. Dogs have been good about using a bell to signal they need to go out, but now our older dog (8-10ish years) has decided to stop asking to go out and just use the tile floor.... ugh. So for summer, I'm looking at installing a dog door so she can control herself again... but cat is a climber and will escape... what to do?! Anyone have an electronic or magnetic dog door application that actually keeps their kitty in? Smart cat will learn to follow dogs I fear, so something lockable? Or am i dreaming?
