We adopted a 2 month old kitten yesterday at noon. We were assured by the cat rescue that he was litter trained and has been eating solids and has no problem eating/drinking from bowls. Well he still hasn’t eaten and he peed on the bed last night. What can we do?

We’re very worried for the little guy. He’s super active. He kept us up all night playing with our feet and running around with his toys. But he never ate a bite of food or drank any water. Around 8pm last night I noticed the tell-tale signs of getting ready to pee, and sure enough he had peed on the bed. Just a little though. So I rushed him to his litter box and shut him in there with it for a few minutes and he finally peed in it, but just a little bit. All of his stuff is very easily accessible for him so we’re not sure why he won’t use any of it.

Should we be worried? Is it maybe just the stress of a new home?
