So I’m a first responder who’s poised to work in 24 hour shifts starting in the next year or so. I’ve always wanted a pet, but I’ve never wanted to leave a pet at home for 24+ hours at a time as it just doesn’t feel ethically safe to do so. I live alone and away from family so I don’t have much of an option on assistance.
I’m open to all sorts of pets. But I’m just curious if anyone had any input on how wise it’d be for me to have one/what sort of pets could safely live under such conditions.
