I adopted a 2 year old cat about 3-4 months ago. During this entire 3-4 months, she NEVER made any vocal sounds, except for the occasional hiss. I honestly thought she was mute or something was wrong with her vocal cords. Tonight she randomly meowed for the first time since I adopted her. She was eating and I opened the door and she meowed and then walked away. Does anyone know what might be some reasons? Honestly there was nothing new tonight. The only thing was I installed a new cat tower for her, could that have been it?
