I just wanted to share a story that happened to me literally an hour ago. My mom was driving my boyfriend back to his place since we're both in high school and can't drive yet. As we were driving, there was a truck in front of us who was going past the speed limit. We watched a cat run across the road in front the truck. This asshole didn't even bother trying to slam on his breaks as he ran the cat over. I remember watching it roll under the truck. We stopped and my boyfriend went to go look at the cat, while I waved my hand at cars to make sure they slowed down and passed the cat. One of those cars happened to be the owner of the cat that was out looking for it and they were both devastated. They said the cat only got out a few minutes beforehand. They were wondering how they were going to tell their young daughter because they had just lost another cat a few weeks prior. I ended up crying. Hopefully I can find out who this person was. They didn't have any consideration at all. They just kept on going like nothing happened. Thought i'd share this because I'm devastated and this wasn't even my cat:(
