Hi all,
We are getting a small dog who will live indoors/outdoors. We need to have an indoor water solution for it to be able to drink whenever it wants to.
Here's the problem, are toddler is VERY likely to splash about in the water, or pick up the bowl and pour it everywhere.
We want to know how to ensure our dog can have a drink and our toddler cant interfere.
Anyone tackled this problem? What did you come up with?
We are thinking we could:
- Have a water bowl outside. The dog can go out whenever it wants, but my concern is it may not want to go out just for a drink.
- Get some contraption which will only open when the dog goes near it.
- Attempt to teach our toddler to not mess with the dog bowl. This is doable, but won't be easy. Plus it's not super safe having a bowl of water which a toddler could slip on or fall into.
What do y'all suggest?
