So, me and my gf adopted our first kitten. She was 3 months old, and super stand-off-ish when we brought her home (as expected). But now that she is more used to the environment, every time we walk into a different room and shut the door, she sits at the door scratching and meowing constantly for our attention. All night long scratching and meowing at the bedroom door, waking us up multiple times in the night. I'm sure the neighbors don't enjoy it either. We've tried everything from ignoring her cries to treating her when she doesn't cry, spray bottles, calming cat treats, and I'm at a loss. And if we DO let her into the bedroom with us, she runs around and jumps on / paws at our face all hours of the night to wake us up. What can we do to keep our sanity? I love the kitten but the lack of sleep is really testing both our nerves.
