We adopted the cutest cat from a rescue two days ago. We set her up in our guest bathroom while she acclimates so we’ve been spending time in there with her for time being! I’d noticed her scratching a lot today, and while she was scratching her neck a flea flew off of her. I freaked out and was confused so I texted the woman who ran the rescue only to find out that they never treated our cat. Lovely. We purchased and applied Revolution to her this evening and THOROUGHLY brushed her. We removed around 40 fleas this evening. We cleaned the entire bathroom where she has been staying and disposed of all of her bedding. We also vacuumed the entire carpet and stairs in our home. It was a long evening to say the least... my main concern is now our home. She has not left the guest bathroom since she arrived two days ago but we’ve gone in to visit of course. I found a flea in my sweatshirt tonight so naturally I’m freaking out. What are the odds of us having a flea infestation given these circumstances? Any advice would be greatly appreciated!!!
