My partner and so just adopted a hefty, 7 year old cat from the SPCA. He’s had a rocky transition period of over the last few days, but is finally warming up to us. He has already peed on my clothing during a previous night, and this morning, I awoke to a poop right next to my bee. His papers told us that he was house trained, and we're using the same litter brand as the SPCA does to try and make him comfortable. at this point, I've introduced him to the litter box a handful of times already.
Any advice?
