Hi,
I'm autistic and my main special interest is pets. But there are three pets I am never allowed: mice (smell), cats (my dad's hawks and allergic family) and rats.
The only reason is that my parents hate them, therefore they have said I can never get them.
But I am having trouble moving on, as all I hear is how great they are. Never anything about the reality (which surely Isn't perfect) of owning them, that isn't all peaches and cream 24/7.
Can you help me remove this rose tinted view of them? I would like to know some cons please.
Nothing about life span or people hating them please. You know something you wish people knew before they bought some (just because the internet raves about them).
Thank you, I know this is a strange request, but who better to know rat cons. Than rat owners?
