Adopt siblings or alone?

I adopted a 2 year old cat last month. Originally the rescue had put the wrong name and info on the cage, so I thought I was getting a loner cat who didn't want buddies. After meeting the cat and having my kid play with him I decided to take him. I found out he was actually a very social cat who was bonded to his sister. They told me to take him anyway and he would get used to being alone. His sister is still at the rescue, but he does in fact seem to be ok alone as far as I can tell. But, I still feel bad for breaking up the duo. It's been a month now, should I let it be or go back for his sister? Anyone have any experience with breaking up adult siblings? Just looking for some advice because it's been bothering me since I brought him home. It's our 1st pet, I didn't want to be overwhelmed by taking them both at once.
