Advice for new kitten(s?) adoption

Hello, I'm seeking advice from experienced cat owners regarding a potential adoption.

My GF and I have wanted to adopt a kitten since forever and we finally moved to a place (2 bedrooms apartment) that allows pets. I have had two cats already, so I have some experience in the responsabilities involved.

Here is the thing, a coworker's cat had a litter of two kittens who need a home. We already decided to adopt one of them, but the coworker asked me if we would be willing to adopt the two of them as to not separate them. Moreover, both the kittens and the mother have recently got fleas and the vet said that since the kittens are too young (1 month old) and the mother is still nursing, there is no posibility of treatment.

So, here are my questions:

  • Is it a wise idea to consider adopting the two kittens? I have read about the benefits for them when accompanied, but I'm worried I might be ignoring the potential negatives, specially being that my GF is a firstimer and a bit of a clean freak (Althou she has assured me that she really wants this, she has already had a cat in her household when little, and she is very dependable).
  • How can we deal with the fleas of the kitten(s) in the moving process? It seems to me that, should we let them come to the apartment with fleas, it could get very hard to get rid of the infestation.
  • Any advices for making the moving process as smooth as possible for the kitten(s)?
  • Any tips or tricks for keeping the apartment clean, provided we adopt both?

Thanks in advance.
