Alaskan Malamute puppy problems...

I’ve adopted a 3 month old Alaskan Malamute, I’ve had her for a week now and she’s kind of odd. First off, if you have no food to give she wont even look at you, was funny at first but I am genuinely scared she will be this proud, independent dog and there is nothing I can do to stop it. She just wont cuddle, only when she’s sleepy she’ll come and sit next to me. I know she is just a puppy, all puppies adore food more than anything I know, but all puppies cuddle and are super excited every time you show up or pitch your voice, she’s just not interested. So my question is, will she ever get used to cuddling and will she ever get excited for her human and not only for food? Also, I adopted her from a guy who didn’t have time to play or cuddle her, she practically grew up with her parents, alone I would really like to hear if anyone has had a similar experience and how you overcame this period. I did read Malamutes are very cuddly and affectionate, so what is wrong with mine? Is it her not having enough human contact before me? Is it just her attitude and the way she is? If so is it fixable/will she grow out of it?
