I'll be giving an enema to my cat soon but I was wondering if anyone could recommend a good low residue dry cat food to see if it'll prevent the hard poop situation. I'm pretty sure that the cat may need lower fiber and stuff but I'm not sure. He's eating Blue buffalo indoor hairball and weight control. His sister cat is fine with no issues, eats the same food. He poops outside the cat box and little pieces of hard poop show up around the house. Wet canned food is out of the equation because he doesn't bother eating it and it seems easier to just give dry cat food. His sister cat will eat wet food though but we just feed her dry food. Let me know if anyone has a good inexpensive low residue dry cat food or if anyone has better ideas. I was seeing grain free dry foods in petco, are those the same as low residue? Thanks for your time.
