This is gonna be a long story.
Me and my girlfriend went to Applebee’s a couple weeks ago, as we were leaving we spotted a small cat/kitten in the parking lot. We both walked up to it without thinking and the sweet kitten jumped into my girlfriends arms and we took it to her dads house where we were staying the night. It was such a sweet little kitten and we fed it and let it sleep there the night and decided to name her Bug as she was a little cuddle bug. The next day, the kitten had to stay at my house for the mean time as my girlfriend had to go to work and she did not live at her dads. She needed to take it to her moms when she got out of work. While Bug stayed at my house, my dad grew fond of it and insisted we keep her at my house for a few days because he thought of keeping her. She was a little bit of work, but a pleasure to have. Sadly, my dad has some anger issues and may be bipolar as me and other family members have assumed and he suddenly hated the kitten and wanted her out of his house. I gave her to my girlfriend to take to her home and that day I cried that she had to go. For the day she stayed at me girlfriends home, she did very well for having to stay in my girlfriends backyard. But after the day that she was there, Bug went missing. For the past 5 days we have searched everywhere for her, made Lost/Wanted posters in my girlfriends neighborhood and checked the animal shelters in my girlfriends city (Edinburg Tx) to search for her. My heart is totally broken over Bug, and I have endlessly cried and thought about her every moment since she’s been missing. There have been times I distract myself by watching a show or playing a video game, finding myself in a somewhat happy state and then I feel guilty for getting my mind off of her and feel like a horrible person and fall into further depression over her. I know this a pointless post, but I don’t know where else to vent. Typing all this made me feel some slight relief though, and I appreciate anyone who took the time to read this awful essay. ❤️
