My four year old male cat is urinating blood and I’m at a loss.

I have a four year old ragdoll who has now been urinating blood since Wednesday night. He was crying and in extreme pain. I spoke to a vet that evening who calmed me down but had us bring him in first thing in the morning. They kept him for a few hours in order to get a urine sample. They found blood, crystals, and sludge in the urine and sent it off for a culture. They wanted to keep him overnight but he was so stressed out they decided against it. We’ve been giving him antibiotics and painkillers since Thursday and it seemed like it was getting a little better. But now the urine is even more bloody, he has no appetite, and I’m having a hard time getting him to even drink water. He still wants pets and cuddles and he isn’t any more lethargic than you’d expect. I’m keeping a close eye on him but I’m panicking. Has anyone been in this situation? What helped?
