Hello! My cat (she just turned 5) has recently been diagnosed with IBD after many, many, many tests and hard days with constant diarrhea. She has been diagnosed by her veterinarian, not by my own powers of "the google". She is currently on prescription medication (prednisolone) and prescription food (Royal Canin Hydrolyzed Protein). He mentioned that she might not need to be on this food forever because she probably can handle other foods and I could pick one. However, we are still trying to get her stable (she has diarrhea often) so, nothing is changing until a few good weeks!
I was hoping to hear other people's stories about their cats with IBD and how they have been able to control it/give their cats the best lives possible.
