My cat is a yowler and at this point (I’ve had him for a little over a year) I can’t stand the meowing anymore.
Every time he meows even just a little bit, I get a terrible headache. It’s like as if really loud music is playing. I used to love his meowing! Now I’ve tried everything to reduce the meowing to the absolute minimum but I think how it is right now is as good as it will ever get.
It hurts my head so much I’m at the point where I dread the meows, I do everything at specific hours and I carry a little water spray bottle in my pocket. And yes, We’ve been to the vet... Many times... he’s perfectly healthy, not stressed, he gets good food at specific hours, his litter box is always clean and I play with him every day. He just likes to hear his own voice a LOT.
I read a lot about other people’s problems with their cats and never saw anything about this specifically. So I’m wondering if this is a normal reaction after long auditory abuse from cats (lol) and no one likes to say it, or if I should get myself checked out?
If you’ve ever felt like this, any advice?
