Hey guys, so I need some guidance. I have 4 adult cats who get along for the most part. We feed them once in the morning and once at night, there is no “open” feeding. If the food bowl is empty, we wait till the next meal time. It has worked so far. All 4 eat the same brand food. We usually do dry food (1/3 cup per bowl, we have 4 bowls) in the morning and wet food (1 can of 5.5 oz broken up into bowls) at night.
However, one of my kitties (6yo F, short hair calico) seems to be getting fatter. We bought a diet food and have increased her activity to try to slim her down a bit but I’d love to pull back a bit on her food. The other three cats do not have a weight problem, the vet says all three are a very healthy weight.
My question is, how do you regulate feedings with multiple cats? Even if I feed her separately I’m worried she’s just gonna go to the bowl and gobble up whatever is left after the other three are fed. Any suggestions on how to slim down my fatty bo batty princess?
