He was my favorite cat I've ever had. When he was a kitten some friends found him in their neighborhood. I took him in and he was beautiful inside and out. He was the most affectionate cat I've ever had and we cuddled every single night. Last night was no different. He was on the bed with me. I shut him out of the room at 1:00 a.m. so I could get some deep sleep. I woke up at 7:00 this morning to find him dead in my dining room with no apparent cause. He had just died minutes before finding him. He was still warm and soft. I checked his mouth/throat and there was nothing that he had choked on. There was nothing around him to indicate how this happened. I started using rogaine last year, but I've been careful not to use it around him and to wash my hands after every use. I don't let him sleep in my room when I'm not home. I wonder if I may have wiped my hands on my robe and then he laid across it last night like he always does and got some on his fur. I'm inconsolable and just can't stop sobbing uncontrollably. I'm just heartbroken.
