Help! I think my mom has been giving my cat milk

TL;dr: my cat is very sick and I think my mom has been giving him milk.

Hello!

My 11 year old male cat has been sick for the past three weeks. After several visits the vets are stumped and in desperate for any kind of advice or insight.

It started as mild flatulence and diahrrea, then within a couple days we noticed a type of dermatitis on his paws and the beginning of a respiratory infection.

Dec. 28 - 1st vet visit: He was given antibiotics, which made the diahrrea worse, and recommended a change of cat litter.

Jan 9 - 2nd vet visit: Bloodwork and urinalysis showed elevated potassium levels, crystals in the urine, and pancreatitis. Tested negative for diabetes, immune diseases, and thyroid. He was given buprenorphine for pain, antibiotic ointment for his paws, and changed to hypo-allergenic food.

Jan 11 - Two days later we noticed he had over-groomed his back legs. Licked the hair clean off of his inner thighs and they looked very sore. Put a cone on him and antibiotic cream.

Jan 14 - 3rd vet visit: X-rays showed no sign of bladder stones but very inflamed intestines with gas and bloating. They cleaned his legs and gave him a antibiotic injection. The vet also prescribed prednisolone but I am worried about the side possible side effects.

His appetite seemed fine until yesterday. He hasn't been eating and drinking as much as normal. His legs are still very sore and will be going for another vet visit tonight.

I am suspicious that my mom (who lives with me) had been giving him milk leading up to the holidays. I haven't been able to ask her about it yet. Would this explain some of these conditions? If his immune system was compromised because of his gut, could that have caused these infections?

Desperately looking for answers. Vet bills are adding up and he is getting weaker by the day.

Thanks in advance!
