Kitten has third eyelid covering whole eye, has been this way since birth.

Basically the story goes, my in-laws had a stray give birth in their backyard. They saw 3 or 4 kittens and they fed the mom for about 8ish weeks. Well, where they live got completely snowed out, and they here this poor little meowing outside, the waited for about 12 hours and they heard this meowing all day and finally they went to check out where the kittens had been. The mom cat was gone and all the other kittens were gone, all except one. They picked her up and noticed her eyes were completely white and it looked like she was blind. They took her to the vet and the vet tested for leukemia and any other disease that are common for strays and they all came back clean, she got her vaccinations and the vet said that her third eyelid was covering her eye and had probably been that way since birth. Long story short, my wife and I ended up rescuing the kitten, and she’s been living with us for 3 months so far. I’m basically wondering if anyone has any experience with the 3rd eyelid thing, everything I google seems to be scary and very bad and I can’t imagine that she has any of these problems honestly. She acts like any other cat, if you didn’t look at her eyes you’d never know she had any problems at all. I noticed tonight though, her eyelid looks like it is starting to not cover the whole eye in the very edge she has just a tiny tiny little bit showing, I’m assuming because she (and her eyes) are growing, but I’m not for sure. Anyway, thanks for any input I can get!

TL:DR my 5ish month old kitten has had 3rd eyelid covering her eyes her whole life, but I’m thinking she’s starting to outgrow the issue.
