We have a total of 3 cats in our house(2 are upstairs and 1 is downstairs due to the cats not getting along). Our 2 upstairs cats sometimes go in the sun room and chew up my mom's plants and one of them also paw on the office door when they're done eating so sometimes it wakes up my mom in the morning. These are the only real reasons my mom brings up when she wants to get rid of the cats. The whole family owns them and she's saying it's her decision to get rid of the cats. My mom also goes on about how the cats are animals and you can't train them(which you can!). I was wondering how I could stop my mom from putting the cats in an animal shelter, because these cats are very dear to everyone else in the family and I feel like I have no control over my mom. Also my dad agrees that the whole family decides whether or not to get rid of them.
