Hi guys, I have two cats, I got almost 10 years ago, they've always loved each other to death, they're mother and daughter. Anyways, I took the daughter cat to my grandparents house for a week since they wanted to spend time with her(shes their favorite cat haha). Well I brought her home yesterday and the mother cat is hissing and meowing at her constantly. Idk what to do, I had to cage up the daughter cat because the mother is pissed off and I dont want her to nip her in any way. Im confused and disheartened, idk what to do, two cats who lived with each other for almost 10 years ago cant coexist anymore just because they were away from each other for a week. Its the mother cat whos instigated the hostility, the daughter cat doesnt seem to have any problem with her.
Could someone please give me advice on what to do for them to get along like they did for so long before?
