We used to have a roommate named Will and he had a cat named Tugs. Will ended up moving out but he couldn't bring his cat. Now the cat just will have you follow him until he brings you to his door and will sit at the entrance. He's been going outside more and fighting with the other cats in the building. But it's been over a month since Will left and he still wants for him. This is proof cats care for us.
TL;DR Roommate moved and had to leave cat. Cat now stays at his door and waits for him.
