My brother just graduated college, and him and his GF are moving to Mexico in a few months. The GF has a cat, and has for an amount of years (idk how old he is specifically), and because they want to move around a lot, she is thinking about giving him up. I offered to watch him for a few months, but she wants to find him a new forever home (understandably). I floated the idea of me adopting him, but I don’t want to take a responsibility like that, and realize in a month that something is wrong, and having to find him a new forever home. If you have any details of pet ownership, or things you didn’t consider when you adopted, I really want to make sure I do this right.
