I was looking into adopting a dog and a lot of the shelters in my area are not able to tell me if they have dogs that are good with cats due to not cat testing any of the dogs. One shelter told me they don’t cat test because they don’t have a safe way to do it. I don’t want to adopt a dog and get attached just to find out it is not good with my cat and have to return it. Especially since I’ve heard that a lot of shelters have a policy in place to keep people that have returned animals from being allowed to adopt from them again. Any advice?
