not really the right sub because they aren't MY pets per se, but i wasn't sure where else to post. i have two cats who live outside my house. i have named them trashboi and kitty. a few months ago (late 2018) i caught trashboi and kitty in the middle of mating so i figured that kitty would end up pregnant and i was correct.
her tummy is noticeably larger now and my village guard has asked me if i noticed that she was pregnant when i went outside today. i did some research and i suspect that she will give birth before the end of february. i was wondering if i could do anything to make it easier for her and her litter?
i thought that maybe i could provide a makeshift bed using a cardboard box and some old cloth. i feed kitty and trashboi weekly (not everyday since my parents dont really like me interacting with strays, so everything comes out of my pocket money) with wet food (i try to buy them tiki cat, sheba and ciao - please tell me if these are bad? they're just what are available near me) but i also see them with dead animals sometimes so i think they are eating ok even without me feeding them daily. i try not to touch them too much because i fear toxoplasmosis but kitty is very friendly towards me.
any insights would be a big help, thank you!
